Catopia’s mission is to provide a happy temporary home for adoptable cats that is also an awesome place for people to relax and have fun. We have delicious snacks, drinks, and cat-themed gift shop items. Plenty of high perches, soft spots to sleep, and toys are available for the cats. Comfy chairs, books, games, free WiFi, charging outlets, and other amenities are available to the humans. Our super-friendly staff is ready to help make your visit a great experience.

Sandy LOVES cats and is hugely grateful to her family, friends, and advisors who helped make Catopia a reality. She grew up in the South Valley of Albuquerque where her caring parents owned a veterinary hospital. Her super supportive husband and wonderful kids share her love of animals. Their four cats and two dogs make their home extra happy.
Cassie is a UNM student, parkour athlete, and a crazy cat lady! She loves working as a manager at Catopia Cat Cafe and the cats all love her! Here she is with her cat/BFF Hermione.
Luke is a senior at the Public Academy for Performing arts. He plays music and does parkour, but at the end of the day his favorite thing to do is relax with his cat, Serafina.
Cameron is a Parkour instructor and has worked with many young people and adults to develop their skills. He loves the cats for who they are, but could also teach them to be lil' ninjas.
Mariana is a student at UNM and is pursuing a career as a pediatrician. She loves both kids and cats because of their shared curiosity towards everything. She also enjoys hanging out with all of the sweet cats here as well as her own fur baby, Kitty.
Dru started school at UNM this Fall. She loves musical theatre, soccer, drawing, and playing with her cats Taffy, Whiskers, Boo, and Sage. She has been a cat lover since she was born. She loved fostering kittens and working with New Mexico Animal Friends and hopes to do it again one day!
Joey is a junior at Albuquerque Academy. He takes part in his school's theatre program and loves music, video games, cars, fountain pens, and cats! Though he doesn't have any pets at home, he adores animals and likes to volunteer at Watermelon Mountain Ranch. Joey loves every day he spends at Catopia!
