Catopia’s mission is to provide a happy temporary home for adoptable cats that is also an awesome place for people to relax and have fun. We have delicious snacks, drinks, and cat-themed gift shop items. Plenty of high perches, soft spots to sleep, and toys are available for the cats. Comfy chairs, books, games, free WiFi, charging outlets, and other amenities are available to the humans. Our super-friendly staff is ready to help make your visit a great experience.

Sandy LOVES cats and is hugely grateful to her family, friends, and advisors who helped make Catopia a reality. She grew up in the South Valley of Albuquerque where her caring parents owned a veterinary hospital. Her super supportive husband and wonderful kids share her love of animals. Their four cats and two dogs make their home extra happy.
Cassie is a UNM student, 3x American Ninja Warrior, and a crazy cat lady! She loves working as a manager at Catopia Cat Cafe and the cats all love her! Here she is with her cat/BFF Hermione.
Luke attends New Mexico Tech and is majoring in Environmental Engineering. He plays music and does parkour, but at the end of the day his favorite thing to do is relax with his cat, Serafina.
Aaron is starting UNM in the fall to study biology. He loves skateboarding, painting, and music. Cats are one of his favorite animals, with four of his own at home.
Kacie is majoring in Art Studio at UNM, and although Kacie doesn't have any cats at home, she has two dogs who she loves to cuddle with. She is a manager at Catopia.
Everett recently finished EMT school. He spends his free time bouldering both inside and outside, but also loves spending time at home with his two cat besties, Twyla and Elphaba.
Jacob is majoring in film at UNM and can be seen in some TV shows and movies! He has two dogs at home and the cats here love him!
James is currently studying counseling at Adams State University. He has always loved cats and has two of his own (Rafa and Myrtle) who were "foster fails". He's so happy to be working at Catopia!
